My Journey  faith            and healing journey

The Woman Behind My Sassy Stories

My name is Shannon, but many people know me as Sassy. I am a wife, a mother of two, a believer, a homeschool mom, a college graduate, and a woman who continues to grow through every season of life.

My journey has included motherhood, financial struggles, homelessness, domestic violence, health challenges, healing, education, and finding myself again. In 2025, I was diagnosed with  The lupus, but through prayer, faith, and God’s grace, God healed me from the lupus. Through every difficult chapter, He has given me the strength to keep going.

I love writing because it allows me to express my feelings, share my experiences, and turn life’s lessons into something meaningful. I created My Sassy Stories because I believe our stories can inspire others and remind them that they are not alone.

Through my blog, I share honest stories about faith, family, healing, motherhood, books, personal growth, and finding my way back to myself. Writing is more than something I enjoy it is part of my healing, testimony, and purpose.

My story is still being written, and I hope you will join me on this journey.

Faith and Growth

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Shannon in a moment of peace and reflection

Learning to trust God wasn't a sudden shift, but a slow, steady process of surrendering my control to a higher purpose. In the quiet of my room, I began to hear the whispers of peace that had been there all along, guiding me through the darkest seasons of growth.

As I grew through my challenges, I discovered that faith isn't just about prayer—it's about the strength found in the journey itself. Becoming the woman God created me to be meant learning to trust the process of healing and the infinite grace provided each day.
