The One They Didn't Choose: A Poem About Being Overlooked and Still Becoming

Hey, my beautiful readers! Welcome back to My Sassy Stories, where I share my life honestly what I've experienced, how I felt, and what each season has taught me. Today I'm not telling you a story. I'm giving you a poem. This one is called The One They Didn't Choose, and it came from a real place. So, let's get into it.
THE ONE THEY DIDN'T CHOOSE
Born into the world with hope in her eyes,
But love didn't meet her it passed her by.
She watched them pour into hearts so full,
While she sat quiet, invisible, dull.
She called, she reached, she waited in vain
Craving comfort to ease her pain.
Not for money, not for fame
Just someone to say her name.
She raised the babies, wiped their tears,
Carried the weight through silent years.
Played the role she never knew,
Gave the love that no one gave to her too.
Others got hugs, pride, and grace,
She got silence and empty space.
Yet still she smiled, still she grew,
But deep inside, she always knew…
She wasn't the one they chose to see,
But she became the woman she was meant to be.
"Some of the strongest souls were built in silence, raised in shadows, and healed by their own hands."
